Why does the app detect a different inversion than I expected?
ChordLens reads the notes you entered, including the bass note. A slash chord or inversion may appear when the lowest note changes the harmonic reading.

The global Pattern control changes how the notes are sequenced over time. Block plays together; the others break the chord into repeated note patterns.
Does the app need the internet?
No. ChordLens is designed to work offline and does not require an account.
Can I use it for both piano and guitar?
Yes. The same note selection is mirrored across both instruments so you can move between theory and playable shapes.
